Hi, my name is Kim Groebner and this is my graphic design portfolio site. On this site you will find a few examples of my design work as well as my resume.
I'm a freelance graphic designer specializing in print. This includes books, magazines, catalogs, posters and packaging. I also have a good amount of experience designing T-shirts and other graphics that have been applied to apparel and various consumer goods. Additionally, while web design in not my forte, I'm hoping that I'll get more chances to work with it in the future. The current state of web-based social media is very exciting and I'd hate to miss out on being a part of it.
I graduated a couple of years ago from CCA(C) here in the San Francisco Bay Area. While I've only been out of school for 2 years my work experience spans sporadically over the last ten years, starting in high school where I designed the layout for my school year book. I've also explored/experienced graffiti, painting murals and being a part of the fringe culture art scene.
When I'm not working you can find me in the great outdoors: hiking, backpacking and rock climbing! ..or at the local rock gym.
So take a look at my work and send me an email if you have any questions!
here's a little bit about my design philosophy:
I'm really passionate about design - I love what I do for a living.
Design projects should always start with a strong foundation of research. This way the work ends up being relevant.
design solutions should be holistic -
existing as a cohesive end result that is conceptually rich, aesthetically unique,
and also intuitively simple.
